Why MMC: This community and environment felt like such a great mixture of academic/community- Maine Med really does feel like it serves both the local population as well as the state of Maine at large and has the acuity and volume that proves that. I think the residency program genuinely cares about the well-being of its residents and wants them to each be successful in whatever way that looks for them, and I feel like we have incredible mentors and role models, especially women, who I look up to and hope to be like one day. I am so happy with my choice (:
