Undergrad: UMass Boston
Medical School: Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
Before Med School: Active duty Air Force medic for 4 years, then 7 years in Air National Guard. ED tech for 7 years. Clinical research coordinator for COPD genetics studies.
Favorite Hike: Currently, it’s the one that starts across the street from our house, winds around a beautiful pond, swings by an ice cream store, and ends at the beach.
Favorite Beach: Still exploring a bunch of the local beaches, but Crescent Beach is beautiful. Although, my son prefers Willard in South Portland because tons of dogs are allowed to run crazy there in the evening.
Closest brush with a famous person: Met Shaq at Target while on a diaper run one night.
Craziest / Best / Worst Job:
Craziest – picking up the pieces of a few jets after they crashed. Best – residency has been great so far! I loved being on active duty in the Air Force. Worst – cashier at Home Depot. I lasted 2 months.
Why MMC: The people are great! Everyone is friendly and genuine. The ED gives you a broad, strong, and high-acuity exposure with integrated peds. Outdoor activities are close and plentiful. No wasting time commuting to work.
