Undergraduate School and Major: Harvard University, Human Evolutionary Biology
Medical School: Tufts MD/MPH
Life/professions/adventures prior to attending medical school: I spent a year studying malaria genetics, which meant running endless PCRs and listening to NPR all day.
Interests / Hobbies: I spend most of my free time hiking, biking, skiing, or attempting elaborate cooking projects. I started learning to surf last summer and I’m looking forward to doing more of that here in Maine!
Favorite Food: Breakfast.
Favorite Novels: Probably Life of Pi, but I have many!
Favorite Movie: The Grand Budapest Hotel
Favorite Hike: Franconia Ridge in the White Mountains
Favorite Ski Trail: The exciting answer would be something at Cervinia, but I grew up skiing all over Vermont and my true favorites are probably anything steep at Stowe.
Favorite Beach (doesn’t have to be in Maine): Aquinnah Beach on Martha’s Vineyard
Closest brush with a famous person: I saw Bill Murray in the customs line at Heathrow once…
Craziest / Best / Worst Job: Best was coaching at a summer rowing camp for high school kids.
Worst was cleaning dormitory bathrooms in college.
Favorite Place in Maine: I’ve just barely scratched the surface! Boothbay and Baxter are both high on the list, but I have a lot more exploring to do before I can answer this one.
Why MMC: I rotated here as a med student, and everyone I worked with was friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy going to work every day. The quality of life and quality of training here really are exceptional!
