Why MMC: Despite being unable to rotate here as a fourth-year medical student due to COVID, I had a strong feeling that this was a place I would be lucky to call home. My interview day was absolutely wonderful with all my interviewers being so friendly and welcoming, and it was clear how passionate the faculty is about resident education. I believe this learning environment is truly second to none. There is great exposure to pathology as Maine’s largest ED and only Level One trauma center, and great opportunities for residents to manage their own patients with fewer competing resident specialties. Also, Jana is amazing.
