Why MMC: I was initially curious about MMC because 1) the EM residents are relatively "unopposed," 2) the program seemed to provide a good mix of community and academic emergency medicine, and 3) I have family nearby. Ultimately, my away rotation at MMC sold me on the program itself. During my rotation, the faculty so thoughtfully balanced teaching with excellent patient care. I was also totally blown away by how skilled and professional the residents were. I realized I admired every resident I saw in action so, I decided I needed to match here!
