Undergraduate School and Major: University of Utah
Medical School: University of Utah
Life/professions/adventures prior to attending medical school: I grew up in New Jersey and worked as an ocean lifeguard and EMT as my first job which lasted for 10 incredible summers. During the school year, I attended college at the University of Utah and competed in freestyle mogul skiing. I studied biology and piano, worked as an resident advisor (where I met some of my best friends), and somehow found myself singing for the University choir. After graduation, I moved back east to NYC, where I worked in a basic science lab researching pediatric lymphomas. In between all of this, I squeezed in working as a bartender and took a couple of incredible ski trips.
Interests / Hobbies: Skiing, biking, cooking, swimming, bird watching, and hanging with friends!
Favorite Food: I love Japanese food! Also, Jersey summer tomatoes (if you know, you know)
Restaurant Recommendation: Takashi in SLC. Try their agedashi tofu.
Favorite TV Show or Movie: Hard to pick one - The Bear, Beef, GBBO, and Avatar the Last Airbender are all a tie.
What book do you recommend to others and why: A Secret History by Donna Tart. It is an incredible mystery/thriller book that will keep you on your toes for the entire read.
Favorite Hike or Ski trail: Mount Nebo in Utah during wild flower season!!! But also ski touring Mt. Yotei in Japan was out-of-this-world-cool.
Favorite Beach (doesn’t have to be in Maine): Sea Bright, NJ!
Closest brush with a famous person: I recently had a full conversation with Tony Hawk, and I had no idea it was him. He was really nice.
Celebrity I most resemble: I've been told Jeremy Allan White. But, wearing a plain white tee helps with that look.
Craziest / Best / Worst Job: Being an ocean lifeguard was by far the best job I ever had. Shout out to Sea Bright Ocean Rescue.
If I weren’t a doctor I would be: A chef or ocean lifeguard.
Medical Interests: EMS, MedEd, LGBTQ+ health, Social EM
Personal Goals: I want to learn surf the cold Maine waters! Also, I can't wait to explore Portland, eat as much local Maine food as possible and get to know my new community.
Favorite Place in Maine: I am new to Maine -- will circle back in 1 year.
Why MMC: The people, sense of community and incredible training made MMC an easy pick for me.
